Monday 03/02/20 - 04/02/20

Our flight was on the night of 3rd of February 2020 and we reached Tokyo early morning on the 4th. There was nothing planned on our first day so me and my friends went to Shibuya. We got to see the famous Hachiko statue and also cross the Shibuya crossing.

Here are some pictures I took with my film camera!

Today we went to visit the Tokyo University of Technology. It is quite far, so we had to take the train and then the bus. Me and a few other people sort of got on the wrong train (which turned out to be the correct train) but we were separated from the rest of the class so we kind of panicked in the moment. Everything was fine, though, and we all made it there together.

The first thing I noticed was that the uni was very big compared to Taylor's campus, and it took a whole 10 minute walk uphill from the classroom to the cafeteria.

We learnt how to make a box out of origami and got to walk around campus with our Japanese guides to see various activities such as Kendo, cosplay, tea ceremony and also see student's final works.

Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I really enjoyed my day there.

Today we had quite a few places to go to. First was 21_21 Design Sight. I saw a lot of very unique design and artwork here- very interesting and minimalistic.

Later we went to the Mori Art Museum, but first we somehow ended up at a train gallery on the highest floor of the building. Not complaining, though, because the view here was absolutely stunning.

After that, we went to the Meijijingu Temple.

Teamlab! Probably my highlight of the trip; this place felt like a different dimension.
