Group Project
Week 1
(07/01/20)
During our practical session with Mr. Shamsul, we were grouped and given a topic to use for our final project. Out of the four topics, my group got "Electricity".
To start off, we were told to brainstrorm some ideas by the end of class. Mr. Shamsul suggested the idea of electric cars to us, to which he then told us to watch this movie/ documentary called "Who Killed The Electric Car".
We watched a shortened version of it but could not really grasp much information, so we went on to research some more. After some discussion, we came up with a few titles.
We ended up going with "The Dark Side of Electric Vehicles" as Mr. Shamsul liked that one the most.
Week 2
(13/01/20)
Today we learnt how to use After Effects to make a simple animation of an object moving along a path. In this case, a car (or spaceship/ airplaine/ skateboard etc.)
We also learnt how to make a basic infograph animation with a moving pie chart.
Here is the link to my pie chart!
Week 3 - Moodboard Presentation
(20/01/20)
Today we had to present our moodboard which encases all of the details of our final animation including the script, colour scheme, sound effects, fonts and more.
Fig. 1.2 Electric Car Moodboard
Mr. Shamsul's feedback was to include better transitions and to also shorten the script as it was too long.
Week 4 - Storyboard
(28/01/20)

Week 4 - Animatics
(31/01/20)
Here is the link to our animatics.
Mr. Shamsul gave quite a lot of feedback for it. He told us to zoom in on the battery when it talks about it being rechargeable. We also made a minor mistake by writing 20th century instead of the 21st century, which we can easily change. When we mentioned the three major companies of car manufacturing, he suggested we include their logos too.
Week 5 - 7
We used this time to solely work on our animations as classes started becoming self-directed.
Here is my part of my animation.
Here is the final presentation.
