EXERCISE
Week 8 (1/06/20)
Today we showed our 2 proposed primary research methods:

Feedback:
My survey can be both qualitative and quantitative research. Don't make it too long and have 2-3 questions that involve writing answers. Ms. Jinchi suggested putting images in the survey for the respondents to refer to so to adds a mixture to the survey. After I reword the pros and cons and finish the primary research doc, I can start designing the Google form.
Whatever I say must be justified and explained as to why I chose it and how it will be beneficial or relevant to my research. Each question in my survey must be justified too. For the interviews, I have to explain how and why each interviewee is valuable to my research. As the mco is still going on, Ms. Jinchi suggested various other ways of interviews such as email interviews, facetime, skype, zoom, etc. I must give a definition of each of these different methods so that the meanings are clear and I will be able to conduct the study at ease. She also suggested having a few backup interviewees in case that my first choice will be unavailable.
In regards to my word doc, I have to add my research topic, research questions and objectives, etc. at the start of my page. Citations need to be moved to the bottom. The definitions have to be paraphrased and not taken directly from the source. My definition for interview should be changed to a research interview.

(From Google Classroom)
Hi Atiqah, here's my feedback for Assignment 3:
Selected methods are suitable to the research and well justified, with the support of research. Reword "pros and "cons" to strengths and weaknesses. These two areas are written well, giving the reader a wide perspective into the methods. The questions are designed with close relation to the research problem, and justified with research. The student has made sound analysis from the data gathered. The interview questions are practical and delve straight to the interviewees' experience as designers. The justification meets the research objective. Transcription of interview is noted. In the analysis, it is good that you had included body language as a possible limitation to "reading" answers given by an interviewee. Sometimes what we don't say can be said through the signs we display physically. I do wonder if any action was taken on those who plagiarised Karthik's and Celia's works.
After fixing up the report with the given feedback, here is the final research implementation report:
