After finishing our dissertation draft, we had to put it in Turnitin to get our similarity score. Here is my Turnitin report:

After that, we were tasked to design our dissertation book. We started by finding visual references and inspiration for our book which included the book cover, page layouts, typeface, colour schemes etc.

To sum it up, I chose a darker colour scheme with 'Cinnobar' red as my main colour. I wanted to use a stencil-looking typeface for titles and headings (Saint George Stencil Typeface and Adobe Stencil) and Futura Book for the body text. For the page layout, I intended on using either 2 columns or just one would be enough.

I wanted the book cover to have repetitive elements to represent plagiarism (copying/pasting). I found this image with a lot of eyes and I thought it would look suitable as my cover.

Since my colour scheme was red, I had to edit the image to suit it. I kept the black/grainy background for some textured effect. I also rearranged and resized the eyes so that they're not all the same, and the negative space is for the title and additional text.

Here is a sample of what my layout looks like. The heading number is very big against a red background. There is a thin line that cuts through the period vertically. On pages with the body text, the same line is present on the bottom left side. This line element directly correlates with 'the fine line' in my dissertation title.
